What is a Centipede?

Centipedes in the Nigeria are generally between 2-3 inches long and are yellowish to dark brown in color, often with dark markings. They have segmented bodies with one pair of legs per segment and are very quick – they will occasionally stop suddenly before darting off again. Centipedes like to live in moist environments like damp basements, and they are mostly active at night.
